142 mm / 5.59 in. 165 mm / 6.5 in. 59 g / 2.08 oz. Every Xezo writing instrument is guaranteed against all defects in workmanship and parts for 3 years from date of sale. The Xezo Maestro series began in 2002 and is known for combining classic Art Deco and Art Nouveau designs with modern techniques that keep the product feeling fresh and familiar.
This special edition of the Maestro line pays tribute to the rich diversity of gemstones found on our Earth, like the beautiful blue mineral Tanzanite. Each pen is individually numbered in a limited edition. 999 platinum-plated fittings and exquisitely etched Greek key on band adds sophistication and detailing to this design. The intensive handcrafting process of each of these pens really shows in their deep, rich colors and a 3-dimensional appearance.
The solid brass barrel and screw-on cap are first diamond-cut with an elegant pattern. Each barrel is given 25 layers of high-gloss Swiss lacquers.
After each individual layer of the lacquer is applied, the pen is heat-dried and then manually polished to achieve a highly reflective surface before the next layer is applied. The lacquering is done in a humidity- and temperature-controlled clean room where airborne particles are eliminated as much as possible. It may take up to 3 days to finish each batch of pens when adding the lacquer and polishing to make sure there are no imperfections between layers. The Maestro LeGrands weight-balanced body allows for supreme comfort in both large and small hands, and features a fine-point fountain tip for effortless writing. Every Xezo fine writing instrument hopes to amaze the imagination and bring joy to the eyes. From the simple to the complex, our designs run the gamut, evoking classical Greek and Art Deco styles from the past and the sleek modernity of the future. All Xezo pens are lovingly handcrafted using some of the world's most sought-after materials. No matter what Xezo writing instrument you choose, be assured it will preserve its beauty, value and owner appreciation with the passage of time.
